Sr. Imaging Scientist
Description
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and launch next-generation CMOS image sensor technologies.
- Research and develop color image processing or computer vision algorithms.
- Research and develop image and video quality assessment algorithms.
- Performing characterization, analysis, modeling, and simulation of imaging systems.
- Optimize existing image processing and computer vision algorithms to meet internal and external customer’s requirements.
- Assist hardware design team with algorithm implementation and validation.
- Image quality tuning and measure.
- Algorithm and lab experiment process documentation.
Preferred qualifications:
- MS or PhD in image processing, color science, electrical engineering, optical engineering, computer engineering or related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong background in imaging, image processing, and neuromorphic sensing.
- Fluent MATLAB/Python/C/C++ skills for data collection, analysis, and digital image processing.
- Hands-on experience with event-based vision algorithms is a big plus.
- Hands-on experience with image quality measurements and testing automation is preferred.
- Deep understanding image quality metrics and evaluation methodologies and industry standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork skills.
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $130,500 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
